Ok so I dyed the bottom layers of my hair pink, it’s not really dip dye but when I pull my hair to the front, it looks like it :x

It took me about…an afternoon to do it. Here’s what I did:

First, prep steps: buy hair bleach/lightener and developer if you have black/dark hair like me.
I used “Goldwell Oxycur Platin Dust Free Bleach” and “Goldwell Topchic Developer Lotion – 9% 30 Vol” ↓
(remember, because I have black hair so I had to use the 9% 30 Vol – which pretty much heavily damages any hair)

And because I only dyed a few layers of hair, I only bought 2 Bleach Sachel (but used only one) ↓

Ok let’s start it!
Bleaching:
Me before killing my own hair ↓

Protect your skin! ↓

Mix one bleach sachet (25g) with 30~35ml of developer ↓

Then use a tint brush to apply it on your hair. Work on it, don’t just paint it on. Use your fingers to work on it carefully.
Then, use cooking foil to wrap your hair. ↓

Wait 30~45 min then wash it. ↓

After washing my hair, I blow dried it just a little bit. ↓

Next: dying it PINK!
I used Special Effects’ Cupcake Pink hair dye ↓

Since I didn’t dye all of my hair, I only use about 1/4 of the bottle. And I want a lighter pink so I mixed in some conditioner. ↓

Work it in your hair ↓

Use cooking foil to wrap it again and leave on for 30~45 min ↓

Unwrap the foil. Let’s see… >.<

Yay! Next, wash it. ↓

Blow dry to see if the color is right ↓

Since I was happy with it, I washed my hair thoroughly and blow dry it again. ↓

Last step: ↓

If your hair got damaged, use hair reconstructor and hot oil. I use Bed head Tigi Dumb Blond and L’oreal Hot Oil. ↓
